水中撈月🌝

 "Catching the Moon's Reflection in the Water"

佛告訴諸比丘們說：在過去世時，有個國家叫伽尸，國中婆羅奈城的空曠處，住有五百隻的獼猴。

The Buddha told his disciples: In a past life, there was a country called Kashi. In an open area of the Varanasi city, there lived five hundred 🐵monkeys.

有一天晚上，猴子們遊行到一棵榕樹的下面，樹下有一口古井。井中映現了月亮清澈光潔的影子。這時獼猴的頭子指著月影高聲告訴同伴們說：

One night, the monkeys wandered beneath a banyan tree🌳 where there was an old well. The moon's clear, bright reflection could be seen in the well. The monkey leader pointed at the moon's reflection and loudly told his companions:

「看啊！月亮今天死了，它掉到井中去了。我們應當合力將月亮救起來，萬不能讓世間長夜暗闇不得光明。」

"Look! The moon has died and fallen into the well. We must work together to rescue it. We cannot let the world remain in darkness without its light."

於是猴群們共同商議，想盡辦法要救出井中的月亮。

The monkeys gathered to discuss and tried to think of ways to rescue the moon from the well.

不久，猴王想出了好計謀說道：

Soon, the monkey king came up with what he thought was a clever plan:

「我知道救出月亮的方法。就是我捉樹枝，你捉住我的尾巴，我們展轉相連，那麼不就可以救出月亮了嗎？」

"I know how to rescue the moon. I'll hold onto the tree branch, and you grab my tail. We'll form a chain, and then we can rescue the moon!"

於是，猴子們就依照猴王的計謀，展轉相捉，奈何樹枝太軟弱，承當不了一隻又一隻猴子的重量而折斷了。

Following the monkey king's plan, they formed a chain by holding onto each other. However, the tree branch was too weak to support the weight of all the monkeys and broke.

最後，一切的猴子，不但沒有救起井中的月亮，反而都掉落到井中去了。

In the end, not only did they fail to rescue the moon from the well, but all the monkeys fell into the well themselves.

啟示💡

💧不要被表象所迷惑：

故事中的猴子們誤把井中的月影當作真實的月亮，這提醒我們要明辨是非，不要輕易被表面現象所迷惑。

💧盲目行動的危險：

猴子們在沒有完全理解情況的前提下就倉促行動，最終導致了災難性的後果。這告訴我們在採取行動前，應該先仔細思考和評估。

💧集體盲從的風險：

即使是錯誤的想法，當群體都跟隨時，也可能造成嚴重的後果。這提醒我們要有獨立思考的能力。

💧善意的出發點不等於正確的行動：

猴子們想要拯救月亮的初衷是好的，但是錯誤的判斷和方法反而帶來災難。這告訴我們好意也需要建立在正確的認知基礎上。
